KDE-R – Crisis Management/Communications

When an emergency such as a fire, accident or assault occurs in a school, the principal will immediately inform the Superintendent by telephone. The Superintendent will notify the coordinator of communications and the principal to coordinate the release of information to the news media. Strict adherence to this procedure will facilitate accurate and authoritative reporting of details to news media. Adoption Date: July 13, 1981 Last Revised: August 01, 1991
