JC – School Attendance Areas

The Board of Education shall review and approve the attendance boundaries for each school in the District upon the recommendation of the Superintendent. The Superintendent shall make every effort to develop such boundary recommendations consistent with the desires of the staff and the patrons to be served within each area. Every effort shall be made to cause as little change in attendance areas as possible consistent with changing population patterns and proper building loading. A student's designated attendance area shall be based on the legal residence of his parents/guardian. The Board of Education may take a school census when necessary. A school census is one embracing all persons under the age of 21 years. Census information such as names, addresses, telephone numbers and birth dates is a joint record of the Cherry Creek School District and the parents and shall not be released without the consent of the parents.
