The Board of Education recognizes that enhanced educational services are available as a result of technological advances and that such services can be customized to serve the diverse needs of today's student population. For these reasons, a District online program of instruction shall be created to provide a program of instruction for the education of students through services accessible on the World Wide Web.
The program shall be designed to support a standards-based curriculum and online students' attainment of state and District content standards.
Eligibility
The Administration will develop criteria to determine a student's eligibility for participation in online program, including but not limited to:
Adoption Date: October 13, 2003
- agreement to the terms of the District's Networked Resources Acceptable Use Agreement
- provision of daily time logs and any other documentation needed for district attendance count purposes
- possess or have access to the appropriate electronic equipment and resources to participate in the program.
