The Board of Education may provide summer session opportunities at the K-12 level on a financially self-supporting basis. The Superintendent shall be responsible for developing regulations for summer sessions which shall be reviewed and approved for the ensuing year.
The summer school program shall serve a two-fold purpose. It shall offer students an opportunity to pursue enriched academic studies and also shall make it possible for students to strengthen areas of weakness or make up courses failed during the academic year.
