FF – Public Dedication of New Facilities

A completed construction project shall be dedicated at such time and in such manner as the Board of Education may determine. District buildings shall be named or designated by either geographical location, topographical feature or historical importance. Names of developments, subdivisions or persons shall not be considered. With Board approval, buildings may be named or designated according to other references not named above. A resolution specifying the name or dedication shall be adopted by the Board of Education. Adopted September 5, 1967 Latest revision April 14, 1986

Staff Orientation to New Facilities

If possible, the chief administrator of a new building shall be assigned to the building under construction prior to completion for such time as may be determined by the superintendent. The support staff of a new building shall become acquainted with the building prior to occupancy if possible. This shall include sufficient inservice training as determined by the superintendent or his designee. A head custodian shall be assigned to a new building and be present in the building prior to completion. During this time, he shall acquaint himself with operation procedures for all equipment and receive such special schooling as is appropriate to insure efficient operation of all equipment. District engineering staff shall be afforded the same privilege. Adopted September 5, 1967 Revised February 11, 1974
