EI – Insurance Program/Risk Management

The Board has the responsibility for maintaining an adequate insurance program covering its buildings and grounds, fleet of vehicles, data, and employees carrying out official duties for the District. The Board may also authorize and participate in insurance programs for employees and students. The District routinely shall review its insurance programs and coverage and shall designate specific insurance companies or insurance pools to underwrite the various insurance needs of the District.
The administration shall make every effort to obtain insurance coverages at the best available rates - consistent with required coverages and services - through obtaining quotations or bids. The District's insurance program shall be administered by the Chief Financial Officer and/or the Chief Financial Officer's designee.
