Students will be afforded the opportunity to choose and consume nutritious meals and snacks that are low in fat, sodium, and added sugars in accordance with the Smart Snacks in School nutrition standards.
The Food and Nutrition Services Department will ensure that nutritious foods and beverages are available, including affordable a la carte options in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations.
Competition with meals served by the Food and Nutrition Services Department must adhere to federal and state laws and regulations.

- Snacks and beverages sold from vending machines by the Food and Nutrition Services Department will satisfy the Smart Snacks in School nutrition standards; and
- All non-competing food and beverages sold by school stores or fundraising activities must comply with federal and state laws and regulations.
