Purpose Statement:
The ECCE Advisory Council ("Council") exists to advise and inform the District on issues related to educational equity and corresponding practices. The Council acknowledges that structures exist that have prevented some parents/guardians of historically under served and other marginalized groups from fully accessing and engaging in the K-12 educational system. As a result, the Council places an intentional focus on amplifying the voices and perspectives of parents/guardians who represent historically under served and other marginalized communities.
Mission: What does the Council do and for whom?
The Council shall endeavor to:
Adoption Date: June 10, 1996

- work collaboratively with constituent groups to improve conditions and enhance the experiences of students of color and other marginalized students in the District; and
- provide opportunity for parents/guardians who represent historically under served and other marginalized communities to offer advice on educational policies and practices affecting their children.
