The Medical Advisory Board includes medical and mental health experts, District staff, parents, a District Board member, representatives of community based organizations, and others with interest and expertise in the fields of drug and violation prevention activities. As needed to advise the Board of Education, the Medical Advisory Board may confer with others with expertise in these fields, such as state and other local government officials, law enforcement professionals, and the District Accountability Committee.
As needed, the Medical Advisory Board may provide advice to the District and the Board of Education in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of school based programs and may help coordinate such programs with related community efforts and resources.
