In the event a neighborhood elementary school reaches capacity, the Admissions Office will maintain a list of parents who reside in the attendance area but whose children cannot be accommodated by the neighborhood school. This list will be in priority order based upon the official date of occupancy of the residence. In the event enrollment falls below capacity at the neighborhood school, the Admissions Office and the principal will use the prioritized list of parents to determine which students will return to the school.
If a neighborhood school reaches capacity and sends students to an overflow school and then experiences a loss in student population, the students will be returned from the overflow school at winter break, semester break or during the summer vacation period. For educational reasons, students will not be moved back to their neighborhood school during the second semester even though space may exist.
